According to legend, Dong Feng, a famous doctor from the Three Kingdoms, lived in seclusion in Lushan Mountain and treated people without taking any money. However, he would plant five apricot trees for those who were seriously ill, and one for those with mild illnesses. Over the years, it became a forest. Later, "Xinglin" was used to refer to medical workers, and "Xinglin Chunnuan" and "Famous Xinglin" were used to praise excellent medical skills and noble medical ethics. Such a modern Huangmei Opera work interprets a wonderful story of a doctor's benevolence in helping people.
The play is "Spring Warmth in the Apricot Forest", a product of the 2023 Anhui Provincial Drama Creation Incubation Plan project.
